I-Doshi Ju-Jitsu has recently affiliated to a new governing body; the United Kingdom Martial Arts Governing Body (UKMAGB). The UKMA (GB) was set up to cover all Martial Arts disciplines in the UK, including Ju Jitsu and MMA (mixed Martial Arts). The UKMA (GB) has high standards and requires all instructors to be fully insured, have current first aid and coaching qualifications and enhanced CRB clearance. Their coaching structure leads to nationally recognised NVQ’s. Benefits: 1. Continuing evolution of Jikishin Ju Jitsu by net-working and knowledge sharing between all martial art styles. 2. Invitations to various international seminars and tournaments including the European Random Attack Championships. 3. Coaching training leading to NVQ awards. There will be no changes to the running of the clubs, syllabus, grading methods, or qualifications; indeed there should be no noticeable changes from the student’s viewpoint. If there are any questions regarding our new affiliation please feel free to speak to Sensei Trevor or alternatively directly to Jikishin Ju Jitsu Association ;( email Sarah Bull - sarahbull@blueyonder.co.uk)
